Willow Voice is a polished AI dictation app for Mac, Windows and iPhone that cleans up and formats what you say. Its free Basic plan uses a weaker speech model, the better one costs 12 to 15 USD a month, and you create an account before you can dictate. If you want dictation that stays on your Mac, needs no account and never asks for a subscription, VoxFlow Pro for Mac does that for free. Here is an honest look at when each one fits.
Get VoxFlow Pro for Mac, free →macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple Silicon and Intel. Notarized by Apple. No account, no word limit, no subscription.
Willow Voice facts are from its official pricing page, its security page and its Mac setup guide, read on 29 October 2026. Prices change, so check before you buy.

Willow takes privacy seriously: it says it does not store your recordings and does not train AI models on your dictation. The difference is where the work happens. By default Willow sends your voice to its servers to turn it into text; VoxFlow Pro for Mac has no server side at all.
Most people who search for a Willow Voice alternative fall into one of two groups. The first tried the free plan, noticed it uses the weaker model, and does not want one more monthly subscription just to type with their voice. The second cannot or will not create an account and send audio to a cloud service: client calls, patient notes, legal drafts, code under NDA. VoxFlow Pro for Mac is built for both. If you want your speech cleaned up and formatted by AI, or you dictate on Windows and your iPhone as well, Willow Voice is the better tool and VoxFlow will not replace it.
VoxFlow is signed with a Developer ID issued to BIT Technology s.r.o. and notarized by Apple, and the download page lists the SHA-256 checksum.

Partly. On 29 October 2026 Willow Voice's pricing page listed Basic as free with a weaker speech-to-text model (Frontier Mini), limited personalization and 20 Scribe uses a week. Pro, with the Frontier Pro model and unlimited Scribe, cost 15 USD per user a month month to month or 12 USD billed annually. Business was 35 or 28 USD a month.
Willow Voice's homepage lists an offline mode that runs on your device, and its security page says Willow runs on secure cloud infrastructure in the United States. The pricing page does not say which plans include offline mode. VoxFlow Pro for Mac has no cloud part at all: it always transcribes on your Mac and works without internet after a one-time speech model download on first launch.
Yes. VoxFlow Pro for Mac is free, with no paid tier, no account and no word limit. You hold a key, speak and release, and the text is typed into the app you are in. It does not rewrite or format your text with AI.
